Everything you need to know about IELTS one skill Retake: New game-changing feature of IELTS worldwide
IELTS is one of the most crucial language or skill certification exams if you are aiming to study or work abroad. With proper guidance and preparation, it is not very tough to achieve one’s desired mark in IELTS. But sometimes different types of situations arrive. Suppose you need IELTS 6.5 to apply to a certain institute or position, and in each band, which is Reading, Writing, Listening, and Speaking, you need to score at least 6 in each band. If you score 7 and 7.5 in other bands and 5.5 in one, then your average will be 6.5, but that won’t work because the minimum requirement in each band is 6.0. In this type of situation, retaking one band, the one where you didn’t achieve a high enough score, can be done again, and that is the IELTS retake system. Both the British Council and IDP have this option.
Conditions:
- You can only retake one of the four bands in IELTS. That means from Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking, you can only retake one band from this
- You will have 60 days after your original test
- This is only applicable for computer-taken IELTS exam
- You have to have your original IELTS result copy in hand to sit for this test
